About the Cover

Cover Figure

The front cover of Human Reproduction Update shows, in the top panel, procedures used in assisted reproductive technologies in relation to the timing of acquisition and maintenance of methylation patterns on imprinted genes. In the bottom panel are depicted the loci on human chromosomes 15 and 11 showing regions where aberrant methylation has been reported in children with Angelman and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndromes born using assisted reproductive technologies. Further details can be found in the paper by Lucifero et al. on pages 3-18.
