The front cover of Human Reproduction Update shows counterclockwise orientation of the GnRH receptor from transmembrane domains (TMD) 1 to 7. In this arrangement, the core is comprised mainly of TMD 2, 3, 5 and 6, whereas the TMD 1 and 7 are peripherally sequestered. The ligand (GnRH) interacts with the exoloop 2 (at N102), the TMD 3 (K121) and the exoloop 3-TMD 7 junction (D302) of the receptor.
